This is a game changer! For over 20 years I suffered near chronic corneal infiltrates and ulcers. I had a standing prescription for antibiotic eye drops. I read about Optimel in an opthamology journal and tried it. After using it twice a day for two months, the infections started to be much less frequent. I went down to using it once a day and that is working well too. Before Optimel, I averaged one or two infections per month. Now, I only have two or three per year! This is the best solution I have found for corneal inflammation or infection caused by blepharitis or meibomian gland dysfunction.
First few times using it I needed to shut(squeeze) my eyes for 30 seconds. I don’t need quite as much time after two weeks. I think I reach less often for drops since making this a 2 times a day routine. 1st I use heat, then cleanse carefully. Now use a high quality applicator with one -2 drops. Run it along bottom eye margin. Squeeze eyes shut. use hypoClor spray to finish as part of my routine. Dry eyes are hard to overcome.
It seems to really help with dry eyes. i do not need to put near as many artificial tears in through out the day like before. But beware because it really stings when you first put it in. For me now, I almost look forward to it as I know the relief that follows the burning! Also, the tube is not full when you get it. I understand it has to do with the way they fill it. I will definitely keep using it.

As someone who is always on the lookout for effective and gentle eye care products, I was intrigued to try the Optimel Manuka+ Forte Eye Gel. With the promise of utilizing the unique properties of Manuka honey, this eye gel aims to provide hydration. The standout feature of this eye gel is its utilization of Manuka honey, known for its potential healing and moisturizing properties. Manuka honey is well-regarded for its antibacterial and soothing effects, making it an intriguing choice for an eye product. I appreciate the use of natural and beneficial ingredients. The tube packaging of the Optimel Manuka+ Forte Eye Gel is practical and allows for easy and hygienic dispensing of the product. The compact size makes it travel-friendly and convenient for on-the-go use. Lasts 2 months.
I have been using this eye gel for years in conjunction with prescription Restasis. The two works fabulously together which got my eyes from needing artificial tears almost constantly to now hardly using any. I prefer the gel as it doesn’t contain preservatives, does sting quite a bit when you first apply but soon subsides. I’ve always had to buy from a store in Australia then pay for shipping to HK. Very glad to see it is now available from Iberb. The most effective and natural product for moderate to severe dry eyes.
I started using the eye gel right when I got it 4 days ago and I can feel a huge relief with my severely dry eyes. Prescription eye drops were not working for me anymore and regular over the counter drops were not helping me either. So I decided to give the Optimel Manuka honey eye gel a try after reading so many great reviews. The gel does sting a lot when you first put it in the eyes but for me, after 1-2 min of keeping my wyes closed the stinging goes away and my eyes feel so hydrated and pain-free for most of the day which is amazing for me!
The Optimel Manuka Forte Eye Gel is a highly effective product for individuals with dry or irritated eyes. While the initial application may cause a strong stinging sensation, the product's relief and protective layer more than make up for it. Additionally, the short and clean ingredients list ensures that the product is safe and reduces the risk of any adverse reactions. One of the unique features of this eye gel is its noticeable but not overpowering honey scent, which fades away within a few minutes after application. This is a great option for users who prefer gentle products with a subtle fragrance. Overall, the Optimel Manuka Forte Eye Gel is a great choice for those looking for a safe and effective solution for dry or irritated eyes
I used the Manuka Opti Mel for an eye irritation that was causing dry eyes. I used it because of honey's anti-bacterial properties. I applied it to the inside of my lower lid. It does sting for a few seconds but it did give me lasting relief and was part of my regime. I did quit using my long time mascara that I think contributed to the condition. I also used the ointment on a facial skin breakout that also seemed to help clear up my skin! Bonus! Good product that I would recommend.
I was told it would burn and yes it did. I clinched my teeth for 15-20 seconds, then I had tears running down my cheek. I used less pf eyedrops after that. Time will tell if daily use will improve things but it seems great out of the starting gate. So many topnotch doctors have recommended this that I had to try it.
