This was actually an accidental purchase, I had put it in my shopping cart and then forgot to check it before I checked out. But it was a super fun activity for the family. I learned a lot about the cheese making process. Although I read the directions several times, I misunderstood what a hot water bath meant. I thought it was referring to a double boiler like the kind you use when you’re melting chocolate. So I opted for the microwave. But I couldn’t get it up to temperature to really make the cheese smooth. Despite that it was still edible and delicious. I used a lot more milk than I had expected, I realize a lot goes into making a small amount of cheese. I still have enough left to try this again so I will try to make the hot water bath version in the future. Overall a really super fun purchase and a good learning experience.

I definitely recommend this kit if it is your first time making these cheeses. Afterwards you can get the ingredients individually. This is fun if you want to make 100% homemade pizza!

Didnt realize that includes sufficient ingredients for a few batches and ordered 2 kits. Requires natural unhomogenized whole milk which is hard to come by. First try came out extremely dry. Doesnt really work with vegan. milk-substitute Left with unused kit for a long time. Good quality ingredients and tools. Includes recipes and directions of use
