Excellent buckwheat!Wonderful organic buckwheat! It taste so so good! I love it as an healthy alternative to rice. Delicious with tuna and veggies or in soups. I am so glad I could get it on iHerb, because it is so hard to find in store where I live. Will definitely repurchase! If my review was helpful, please press the like 👍 button. Thank you!
Bobs red mill is wonderful. They have a lot of gf products though it can be hard to find them in store so I often order online. Make sure to read the cooking instructions and use a tall pot to allow plenty of room since buckwheat bubbles a lot when you first heat it on the stovetop. Price varies a lot so make sure to check around before you buy it
Can’t say enough good things about Bob’s Mill as a brand and buckwheat flour as an option. Lately I’ve been combining their buckwheat flour with rye flour and a small bit of whole wheat snd white, adding walnuts and olives, and bread machine baking my new favorite alternate-style health food. Excellent low gluten option, whole grain healthy, fun, delicious.
Buckwheat with just water is very flat tasting. However, I add a little Erythritol, milk, peanut butter (for extra protein) & some raisins & it's quite delicious! It takes longer to cook than oatmeal but it also has a nuttier, somewhat "crunchier" taste w/o actually being crunchy. This is my new "go to" breakfast cereal!
I love that I can order this from iHerb and have it arrive to my door! I make Buckwheat fresh every day! I soak it a few hours or over night, rinse it well, spread it out over the surface of a frying pan. Let it sit for a day and it sprouts so easily!!!!! Then I cook it in water to have instead of rice for dinner. Buckwheat is an easily digested protein and very low on the glycemic index. Some days I add butter and sea salt and dry roast the buckwheat on the frying pan. W0w! what a snack food this is! Crunchy and addicting!!!!!!
This buckwheat is so good, it'll make you forget all about your other grains. It's made with organic ingredients, so you can feel good about eating it. And it's so versatile, you can use it in everything from pancakes to salads. Plus, the package arrived in perfect condition, so I am so satisfied with this amazing thing.
The five stars is the Bob's Red Mill - I never tried buckwheat but I am trying to use more gluten free grains and this is one I am going to try. I am giving the five stars for Bob's - so if you want to try buckwheat, try this brand. UPDATE: Tried the buckwheat with my husband and it's worthy of 5 stars - we both enjoyed it.
In my opinion, Bob's Red Mill Buckwheat has the highest quality ingredient of other brands that I have used in the past, with a delicious taste jammed into every package! I use it as a side dish in many of my favorite veggie recipe dishes, which ends in doubling the original serving size on the package. Never any rock pieces or sand, nothing but 100% pure organically grown buckwheat!
